Smile Favorite Drum Finishes

What's your favorite drum finish/color on your shell? I love the ruby red fade on the Pearl. It just looks like a sports car and it's so appealing. Check it out.

What are your favorite finishes?

PDP MX in Emerald Fade is my favorite. I also like Pearl's amber mist.

That's a really great looking kit you've got there.

Is that the highest model of the Pacific line? I've heard some good things about PDP, plus they're pretty affordable compared to DW.

No, the MX line isn't the Top of the line for Pacific.

Pacific Drums are as follows:

LXE=Maple
LX=Maple
MX=Maple
MXR=Maple
CX=Maple
FS=Birch
FXR=Birch

I had my pearl hardware:

Pearl straight stand (C-800W)
Pearl Boom stand (BC-800W)
Pearl Sing Pedal (p-120p)

My kit is a wine red wrapped export. I'd really like to have a laquer finish in the future. I prefer the satin finish to the shine though. There is a top class drum manufacturer close to me called Brady Drums. They make some beautiful looking drums.

Brady is drool-worthy. Those kits are top of the heap man. So expensive though! Can you take a factory tour?

I'm trying to find out. I was so amazed to find out they are like two burbs away from where I live. Their specialty is carving snares from solid blocks of south west jarah. I'm pretty proud to share a region with this gem. I just wish I could afford one of their kits seeing as you can't buy any drum for less than $1000 AU.

I have a secret crush on natural wood finish or any somekind of fade or bust to natural... MAPEX caramel fade or PDP Charcoal Fade - Natural to Tobacco Burst are sexy to my eyes
