stick grip

so here are choices for stick grip.. which ones do you guys prefer and why? I'm going natural right now but I'm looking to get a grip because when playing long gigs my palms get sweaty and it's way to easy to let a stick slip.

So here are the choices:
calluses on hands
Gorilla snot
Pine tar
stick tape
rubber grip already on stick
gloves

Re: stick grip

After trying just about every product sold for that purpose,I've come to the conclusion that good old-fashioned cheap course sand paper rubbed over the grip area of the stick seems to do the job quite nicely, leaving a "still natural" feel to the stick, and leaves a few sheckles in the old jeans pocket to boot! let me know how that works for you!

Re: stick grip

Super Glue does it for me every time....trouble is you cant throw sticks at the guitarists when they miss the guitar solo.....and you have to go round again

Re: stick grip

Yo man when im playin Tenors or Snare (Ya know the whole drum Corp thing) Stick Tape is essential. As for Set....I've treid Stick Grips and naturall honestly I like natural better. I want to try some gloves though. Just to see how they feel
