Hi,
My problem is I cannot get consistent fast double strokes on a single pedal, in a relaxed tense free state. I end up having to strain the muscles in the leg and end up loosing balance on the pedals. Physically I am heavy in weight.
I use a
pearl elimator pedal (red cam - ultra fast response). The powershifter is set to light, the distance of beater (about 3 inches to head) and relative footboard to a low height. Would prefer it higher but this means the distance of beater to head is longer e.g. slower response. The spring is slack, with enough tension for the beater to spring back. Its a comfortable setting.
I have used heel-toe and foot-slide techniques. Foot-slide works better for me.
I was wondering where the problem could be in not being able to acheive fast doubles, in a relaxed state. Is it a pedal configuration problem, or technique?
BTW - I am excluding double pedal in this problem.
Thanks in advance.
