I've always heard that wrestling shoes were the best for all said reasons, being that it is used for wresting. Flexibility, durability, and a good grip. It has also been said that they provide extra ankle support as well. I've yet to buy me a pair.

I wear my Newbalance running shoes, really light and flexible (After I wore them in) but I might be tempted to try out some wrestling or rock climbing shoes after theese wear out.

I quit wearing shoes about ten years ago. I did it for the same reason that I don't wear work gloves when I hold the sticks. I do wear socks so that my feet can move around on the pedal. I can feel the space between the hi-hat cymbals better. All of the pedals are just far more sensitive to touch. Weird!!??
Maybe, but it works very well for me.

If you donr know what they are it is the same type of shoe that was worne in the movie KILL BILL.

I wear Johhny Reb motorcycle ankle boots.

Reason 1 They have a reasonably soft sole which i can feel the ball of my foot through onto the pedal plate.

Reason 2 They have good foot protection should a P.A speaker decide to land on my little toes.

Reason 3 They have a raised heel which helps my heel toe playing (for me).

Reason 4 They are comfortable for my feet.

Reason 5 Slip on, no laces

Reason 6 They look cool.

Reason 7 I can wear them when riding my Triumph Bonneville.

Reason 8 They get better with age

Here's the reason I wear K-Mart Socks.

Reason 3 They have a heel with a very pretty stitching pattern.--I just love it.

Reason 4 They are comfortable on my feet

Reason 5 They slip on.

Reason 6 They ARE cool--my feet don't get all hot & sweaty.

Reason 7 I can wear them while riding my Honda Vulcan 1100. All I have to do is put on my motorcycle boots over my K-Mart Socks.

Reason 8 When they wear out it costs 99 cents to replace them

Solution--Wear what feels comfortable for you--AND--enjoy life.

i wear converse chuck tailors when i feel like wearing shoes, most of the time i just play in my socks.
