DW 5000 AD3 Adjustment suggestions?

I just bought a new pedal...after much soul searching, I have decided to strip away my second kick for real estate reasons and now I am trying to get some suggestions on how to set my new pedal.

Most double pedals don't seem to "push back" like a single does, and while this one doesn't seem so bad right out of the box, I would welcome any suggestions from those of you who have experience with this.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

so you had 2 bass drums and you switched over to a double bass to save space?

What have you done so far to adjust it so far? I would imagine that you would need to adjust springs and positioning. Basically you do anything to get yourself more comfortable and playing without any hindrances. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I found this video very helpful: DRUMMER CAFE ~ Kick/Bass Drum Pedal Technique | Lessons | Education. I would also add that you should keep your u-joint angles to a minimum. I use the same pedals &, like you found them very well adjusted right from the box. But pedals, like every other aspect of set-up is a personal choice.
