Please post some nice large pictures of what looks like some very nice work on the recover job. Nice color as well. What do you estimate that your total cost to recover came to??
Hopefully, you can inspire some others to take up their tools and just "DO IT"

Put on a black cap and think Ringo. Well done.

From a distance they look like they could be as sharp as this ...

AHHH,-SALOM,- SALOM TO THE GREAT JDARNEL---he has once again proven his great kindness. He has posted pictures for us. This time we may view them without the aid of the great microscope of science.

Besides all of the BS (from me)---The new pics are really great.(as well as visible). You really did a great job on the re-wrapping.. They look absolutely flawless. As I said before--Hopefully some other drummers with beat up drums will take a look and see how easy it is to do. That's kinda' cool, using the Ludwig head in one photo.

If your at all curious --You can find pics of my various woodpiles by going to -"search" in gallery. Look under the name "UPSTROKE". Start with page 3 and come forward. You will see the "Before and After" of the old red set that I found in a barn and recovered a few years ago.

Again--Beautiful job--Be Proud. What you did is better than going out and buying a new set. Buying a new set only requires a wallet. Every body can do that. Re-overing your old drums---That takes effort, talent and creativity. That makes them look and sound BETTER than new. RIGHT???????

I have to agree, I am more proud of these because of the work I put in them, my bass player said I should do this as a side line but I am proud of the way they turned out. I will say this, when I do this again they will be glued down instead of the double sided tape. Just a thought for those who want to wrap their drums, use the glue. I did not want to run the toms through the bass drum because I liked the sound of the bass without the toms.

Upstroke, I just love the old white marine pearl ludwig kit, the old ones are the best.

That picture is not old--It's ancient. But thank you. Before I got that set, I spent about 9 years going around collecting pop bottles etc. Then I would take my $3- $10 to Tacoma Music. They had a back room that was a parts hunters wet dream. Also, dozens of OLD, beat up used drums. I'd dig around until I found something I could afford. (I'm sure they just happen to be having a blue light special for this little kid). They sure gave me some awesome deals.
I would tote my latest prize ten miles home on my bike and terrorize it until it resembled a drum. I played on that kind of stuff for a long time. Loved every minute of it. I used this "Re-conditioned" drum set with my first band gig. The band was an 8 pc. group that did big band swing tunes. Uh!, Oh!. I better shut up. Sometime I tend to rattle like a can of marbles.

Not and a matter of fact, I don't know which will go first - Your drum kit or Ringos.
