Three helpful books that are not as much instructional but more informative and useful and will improve your drumming skills with the insider info.
First book has plenty of tips and info that is handy stuff to know. With professional tips from Rick Van Horn who has done many write ups in Modern Drummer Magazine.Easy to read and not expensive.
For the beginner, this book
will answer a lot of questions i see popping up on this site.
It's called
Tipbook Drums and written by Hugo Pinksterboer it is a good reference to tuning , drum head/ drum choice. cymbals, buying, hardware, sticks, setting up maintenance, brands, set ups and some history.
For the money it's worth getting if you have just started or are going to start playing drums to intermediate level.
Book two is called
