I can see your enthusiasm on this, and rightfully so and while it may be new where you come from , this is standard practice where I come from.
I have developed a teaching program describing in detail exactly what your are talking abut. It has been road tested and is very successful.it is branded logo etc with a structured format. It is very profitable and very very good program. PM me if you are interested and I can send you a bit of info. This will save you a hell of a lot of time. It is presented very professionally and for the right operator its more than a full time job.

Its amazing you know,,, how eventually things come round.

Thank you for making an attempt churchdrummer. One of the major problems that may arise is an available empty building. Might try the Eagles, Eks, Lions, etc. & see how open they are to the idea. My thinking is that if this grows, we may need more than one facility in each area. I tend to think the metal players and the country players and the classic rockers may not get along extremely well.

Thank you for making an attempt churchdrummer. One of the major problems that may arise is an available empty building. Might try the Eagles, Elks, Lions, etc. & see how open they are to the idea. My thinking is that if this grows, we may need more than one facility in each area. I tend to think the metal players and the country players and the classic rockers may not get along extremely well. Plus, there could easily be a few different age groups involved. I think each facility would need one uniformed police officer. (see if the City will cooperate). Two parents, and one or two musician volunteers to keep it organized. Thoughts???

The idea is to put on a battle of the bands. The bands must produce a demo and artwork. Get a local no one studio to offer free demo as prizes, get the local music store involved. You be the judge. Develop the talent.

Different days for different genres maybe? Just have one day for a Rock and Metal jam, then another day for some country, maybe a jazz day. Just like clubs and bars get different genres of bands to play on different nights, you would have different musician hang days. That way if people wanted to, they could show up and try their hand at some other music thats outside of their box. Just my two cents.

Different strokes for different days

Thanks SkullMan; That's kind of the program that's going thru my mind. If you calculate the different age groups that you may not want to mix. Then add up the different styles of music interests, and add in the different skill levels' Lets see--Age + Styles + Interests + = uh lets see this plus that, add those=A Bunch. Pretty accurate huh??
In my little Burg, I have talked to some of the Vet's organizations. That's the way I approached them. One or two nights per week. (depending on the hall availalability), With the idea of different age groups and styles at each meeting.

add in Clinics or master classes for different instrument groups. Clinics on proper ways to present your show. Proper stage behaviour. Most of these types of clinics could be done in a private residence. Trying to get Celebreties to come in and give clinics would be a real plus if we could generate enough interest and sell enough tickets to lure them here.
