Hey guys i was hoping you could help me with this.
I recently found out that the gretsch i freind had given me is vintage.
Iv e-mailed gretsch and the reckon its from 1970-72.
If its worth some money i would like to sell it as i play bass and its probley wasted with me really.
You guys got any idea of its value because i would love to get a new bass?

ive seen a swingerland for about 1.5k and that look like it could be pritty valuable because it was made before they were bought out(something like that, i dont know Gretsch, because i dont even play thier guitars).

May i suggest that you submit these photos to Rick Van Horn at www.moderndrummer.com
He can put you in contact with a drum historian that can probably tell you pretty close to the exact year those Gretsch Drums were made.

or you could sell it for an amount for what a base cost, like rush's bassest sig bass(thats got to be expencive, saw it used my friend was using it and playing a snair drum from a distance apart)
