I'm learning to play Enter Sandman by Metallica, and if u have even had at least 1 drum lesson u would know your supposed to count. the worst thing is that i dont think Lars Ulrich cared that i have to count along to his music!!!
anyone else had the problem of counting along?? as if it dont piss u off!!
No, I haven't had any problems of the sort with that song, and i've played it countless times; in fact, I think it's a fairly easy song to play. Once you practice it a couple of times (also try listening to the song while playing it, or playing the song with a guitarist/bassist/etc.) and get it down, of course.
yeh well it is an easy song, i played through it all a couple times, but not in time.
my friends are learning it on guitar so hopefully i can play with them soon
you need to count, in fact you must count always you play drums, at the beginning can be frustrating, but one you got this u will understand much better what is all about. There is an awesome exercise in the virtualdrummerschool of Salvador Niebla and progressions. If you practise this you can be soloing in 1 year any song you hear. I am doing it for myself and its a masive exercise,

yer thanks i have gotten used to counting with this song now so i can in my head.. but if you look at the bars and lines on the tabs u dont no whether its 2-bars (1 and 2 and) or 4 bars (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and)
