Drumometer

I'd just like to know your take on the drumometer. What do you think of them? Do you own one?, etc, etc....

I've been using one of these nifty little contraptions over the past 6 months or so (until I broke the triggers) and I find it to be very helpful and addicting. By addicting I mean I will sit at my practice set for hours trying to beat my highest BPM on feet and hands. It does help when trying to gain speed and keep in tempo, but I guess that was what it was made for right?.

For those who have no idea of what I'm talking about, this "DRUMOMETER" is a device that can count your beats per minute in a given time 1 second - 900 sec (15 min). It also has a metronome function that you can use by itself or with the counter that goes up to a blistering 300 bpm. You may have heard of this through the WFD Worlds Fastest Drummer Competition.

Tell me your thoughts. GO!

Re: Drumometer

Wow, 300 bpm!?!? That's insane! But of couse if you want to get your playing faster you'd need to be able to go faster. Can you give me a price for a drumometer and where to get one?

Re: Drumometer

Why yes....yes I can.

They run for $159.99 plus S+H, so around $175- $180. I think it's definitley worth it though. The only place I've seen them is online, so don't expect to be able to go to a music store and find this. All you have to do find it is type in drumometer in any search engine and it should take you directly to the main page. I would post a link, but the one I tried didn't work.

Re: Drumometer

I think that if your sensors mess up within a year of purchase the company will fix it for you. Email them about your problem from their site.

Re: Drumometer

Hey dude, nice to see you visiting again.

Those are pretty awesome, but for the awsome price, I think i'll have to stick with metronome for now.

Re: Drumometer

hahah It's good to be back I see a lot of new members, but not many old ones.

Defintely an awesome price *sarcasm*. Once you start using it, it makes up for the price though. It's a nice thing to have if you have a little extra $.
