Zildjian.. Which to stay away from?

Getting back into drumming and want to outfit my kit with Zildjians but don't want to purchase low end cymbals. Which ones should I look at and which ones should I avoid? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Personally, ZXT's and ZBT's...and planet Z's ZXT's are to thin...personally and crack. ZBT's and Planet Z's just sorta suck/are to cheap of a cymbal.

It resume it pretty much.

Although ZBT are cheap & bright, I personally own a ZBT 10" splash which on recording sound pretty good, bright and short sustain.

I personnally prefer Sabian B8 to Zildjian ZBT series.

Yea, IMO the B8's from sabian are better...but they are a pingy cymbal. B8 hats are perty sexy though, specially considering the price. But now that I've heard/have xs20's iono if I'll get anything but b20 bronze cymbals :P

I like the K and A level Zildjians. Their entry level cymbals don't do it for me.

That said, there can be a lot of difference from one Zildjian to another of the same style and size. The best advice I can give is to try before you buy and to trust your ears.

Stay away from the zbts the zxts and the planet z's. They all pretty much suck.

Zxt 8" splash rocks ... If you can fix it with tools...my friends brother fixed his after it broke at the bell... its holding...they are just made out of the worst metal zildjian makes...ROFL
