I picked up my kit from the guitarist's home. I have basically quit the band due to
conflicting schedules and all... so I will be a home recording drummer again.

So I have the drums pretty much dismantled, to get them all in my car, and have lots of plans for them now. I came across more information on being able to better execute heel toe method from various videos. I also want to rearrange the entire kit to flatten out the toms which should allow for easier execution of gravity rolls... I have been studying them in depth lately.
My drum heads are almost a year old.... only a few dents in the 12 inch tom... I would like to get new heads but I think I will wait for the tax return to come in. In the past I have tuned my drums using the old method of lowest possible pitch... but I came across information on finding the fundamental pitch of drums.

I had to be a little flexible with the chart, from the reference above and the bass
tuning site, to hear what notes I was going to use on the kit. Now I didn’t use shell
depth because depth impacts volume and articulation… you have more shell pushing
out that timber or fundamental note of the shell. I honestly don’t know if the timber of
the shell is going to mimic the math version… but it seems fun for me to try.
So just as a guess so far this is where the tuning is headed for my drums. I will use it as a guide and then fine tune once I am there. Please feel free to add thoughts if you like.
8 = a
10 = f
12 = d
14 = b = batter side d = snare side
15 = a
20 = f
