Re: Snare suggestions

Ahh! I reckon the head is the problem! I've used that head before and that barstad enormous dot just focusses everything into one big splat.

I would recomend either the remo powerstroke 3, the evans genera powercenter (which I use) or the evans genera dry.

The power stroke 3 is a straight-up good responsive head for the remo user. The powercenter is very similar but for the dot of extra mylar in the middle for a little focussing and the genera dry will give you a lot more crack for your buck.

Re: Snare suggestions

The Evans head that i would use id the evans ST head, This is a strong head look up evans
drum heads on the web and it will give you a run down on all the type of heads. This is the way i would go(or look into). I have been using Evans for three years and haven't had a problem yet. There Durable and can take a lot of pounding and still preform. The tone is bright
and durability is high made with two ply7.5 mil full bandwith rimshot.Take a look at Evans ST.
I think you will be happy.
