Iron Cobra Question!

I just bought the Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal yesterday, I was wondering what a good setting for double bass is. I also have the DW 7000 Pedal but i wanted the Tama one. Anyone know the best ways to adjust it for speed?

Re: Iron Cobra Question!

hye!! ey, i just bought the same one too.
well, when i bought that pedal, it was not in the same volume of tension..i mean the spring. then, i put the beater on n try to get both of the beater pararel..adjust the tension spring so that when u push the pedal, u wont give too much effort to do it. but, evry person setting is diffrent, so... experiment..;p actly, i use those method to tune my single pedal..but, then again...
u have to try it a lot, then u noe what's the best setting for u..

Re: Iron Cobra Question!

yeah you have to figure out whats easy for u...the tighter the springs...the harder it will be to step on the pedal...but it will be more controlled...if you have it looser you can obviously step on it easy and go faster but the beaters will be less controlled and might be bouncy...so you have to just experiement...every setting is different on different pedals

Re: Iron Cobra Question!

shoes that are comfortable. I wear skateboard shoes, but I've seen dudes do heel/toe in combat boots, so, it's all about what feels good to you. EVERY PART of playing the drums is WHAT FEELS GOOD TO YOU! Not very many dudes put thier gear up THE EXACT SAME WAY. People are shaped different, and EVERYTHING is adjustable. Tune them right, and they sound good, now just set them up SO THEY FEEL GOOD. That is the secret. If I show up to a gig in my workboots, I play barefoot. Hope some of this helps you.
