So I've been breaking sticks left and right...
Well I picked myself up two pair of promark oak sticks 5A and 5B.

Wow... night and day difference. The tips are in perfect condition and the dents
that usually go with my rim shots are about half the size. I played for two hours today and hardly hurt the sticks. I used to play oak... now I don't know why I switched in the first place... cept that was like ten years ago or so.

Things are looking up for the oak wood.

I found that Vater 5As are pretty tough too. Compared to Vic Firth American Classic 5As. The Vaters are lighter and stronger.
