Re: How to learn to play fast 16th notes on double bass?
metronome and/or click 1/4 or 1/8's is about it. Start slow and speed up to different tempos. Other than that...well there's other ways you could I guess...well not really cause you have to play em to get better :P Good way to get better at dbl bass is start from get a snare practice book (unless of course you already know most rudiments) and start playing those on bass instead of snare...you could play on both too but yea. No magical way of getting em perfect/close enough.

Holly **** that guy is good. Yea I do the same thing when im just sitting around. I do the heel thing almost on instinct but when I try it on my pedals I cant. Ive tried adjusting the pedals so that as loose as I can get them with the spring tension as tight as it can be.
I can do that same thing on my 5000s, Idk why... I used to only do that with my left pedal, now (and even before) I can do it fine.*SHURGS*... It takes time... And I have a new avatar!
