Re: Buying drums - help needed!

My suggestion is that if you are a beginner but feel you're getting better, go with something like the Ddrum D2 5 Piece Drum Set with Cymbals and Throne at American Musical Supply. You can break the order up into payments. Plus, that way you can put a decent set of cymbals and some new drum heads on there. A friend of mine got the DDrum D2 set and for the price, I was shocked. That is my recommendation.

Re: Buying drums - help needed!

Im very greatful for all the feedback. I have buyed a Mapex 8 parts set with standard (sucky) skinn and a Sabian, Cymbal XS20 16" Med.Thin Crash and Sabian XS20 14” Regular Hats (hi-hat). So im very excited to start playing, first improvment will be new skin and a ride cymbal.. The set looks OK right?

Is the Sabian XS series good? (I figure zildjian is better, but I started playing this summer so) :P

HEY ALEXIO I think your going to pay alot more than you should and as far as the cymbal goes you are definitely paying too much.Look around on e-bay there are music dealers that ship world wide and you can have a choice of drum sets.An 18 inch bass drum is just a little larger than a floor tom tom. You should look into a 20" or 22" Bass drum. Look around for dealers that ship world wide don't rush into the first set you see. GOOD LUCK SLINGERLAND
