Popular Songs without drums to play along to...

I heard about some sort of thing (the example I heard was a Green Day CD) where there were songs from an album (in this case Green Day) and they were exactly like the normal song but with no drums so that one could listen to them and play the drums along with the bass/guitar/etc.

Does anyone know what this is called or where I can download some?

We have 282 original and cover songs without drums. The covers are both old and new so plenty of variety (about 60 tracks).

As far as what they are called... I personally call them drumless tracks, but if you google stuff like "songs without drums" or "drumless music" you'll find a bunch of stuff on the internet.

Be careful as a lot of the material out there is copyrighted material ripped from Rock Band and stuff. Some of the material is pretty crappy midi, but there are some guys out there making some great stuff for free, as well.

Anyway, I hope you stop by and see if we have something you like. You do get a free track when you register at the site, so you'll be able to add at least one track to your hopefully growing catalog.

I like to make up drums to random songs. If anyone here has seen the Hangover, I've made some drums for Doug's song(sorry, I'm not sure the actual name, but here's some that I've found on the interweb).

These songs are called backing tracks!!but if you search on google it will be to difficult to find backing tracks for drums!!But if you were a guitarist you could find anything you want!!But is very difficult to find backing tracks for drums if you do not know some pages to search on them!

I´m agree with you guys they are called drumless tracks, so you can look for them that way.
Like some of you have said, it is difficult to find good drumless tracks in the web, most of them doesn´t have the vocals but are playable

I also found them as drum playalongs too, but most of playalong are unknow tracks but still fun to play with.
I have a bunch of drumlees and playalong tracks, let me know if you want them or if there´s anything else I can help you with.

Well I have some famous songs; But I´ve found a web site where they have a large set of drumless tracks. Hope everyone can use it.
