anyone now some easy, beginner, rock songs to play to?

I just play along with the radio. No matter what the tune is, I find a beat I like to play, either matching the original drum beat or making it simpler or more complicated depending on what I feel.

I haven't tried it yet, but I also heard you can turn RockBand into a music minus one track by putting it in practice mode and then unplugging the drum component. If that works, that would provide a lot of rock tunes to drum to.

Playing to Rock Band with real drums is way easier than I thought. My 11 year-old daughter showed me how! You join with the drum component into a training session, in practice mode and then you simply don't play the drum component, you play your real drums instead. The drum track is silent (so it becomes music minus one) and you don't get kicked out because it's a training session. It's awesome.

I guess if you're looking for music to buy, you can't go wrong with AC/DC -- lots of medium slow, simple but gutsy rock beats.

Most of the old creedence clearwater revival songs are pretty simple. In fact, the big challenge on some like 'born on the bayou' is trying to stay awake during all the repetition.

Ya, and trying to keep a steady tempo can be tricky too. "Rollin' on a River' is one where I always wanted to speed up just to get it over with.

nirvana can be pretty easy to play to sometimes, also try weezer. seether can be somewhat easy to play for beginners if you can get the coordination down.

Ive been playing to Lenny Kravits's "Lets Start A love Revolution" cd lots of room to add extra beats....I also like playing to Black Sabbath...Mostly the Dio stuff...."Heaven and Hell" and "The Mob Rules". Im trying real hard to pick up the SWING beat...so I go to The Stray Cats....Brian Setzer Orchestra...but the swing is hard for me...but whatever you decide to play..just keep at it ..youll get it .
