Where do you play the drums?

I would like to know where some of you actually play/keep your drums as drumming(acoustically) an awkward hobby to maintain with it being so loud.

I have a little studio just outside my house with a decent enough amount of sound isolation.

I live on an old farm so my neighbours are a decent distance away.

Plus my neighbours are deaf

My drums are @ my guitar player's house. I play them @ band practice! One of these days I will buy another kit to have one at my house as well.

I play in my basement.
The other people in the house get mad when I play to loud!

(which is most of the time...

What's with people getting mad when other people that just want to rock?!?!?
I mean, all we want is to get better at what we love to do!!!!
Why can't they just put up with us?!?!
Or at least say your good, but could you be a little quieter please?
Its THAT easy!!!!
Do you no how much us as drummers put up with?! ENOUGH!!!!

Agree, Im relegated to the basement because of moaning 'in house', and the time to go down there just never seems to be right.

Either the wife is asleep, the baby is asleep, theres too much to do and then its too late.

Frustrating to the extreme!

hahah, idk about that, but i see my parents and brothers getting mad at me, in the end it'll b all worth it xD

Electric drum kits are truly a saviour when it comes to practicing at home. <3

And it makes the pleasure of crashing away at the next acoustic kit you come across even more..

My electric kit is in my room next to my computer lol. Handy for recording... when i get a long enough cable lol.
