need help identifying sonor kit

Can anyone identify the model of this kit? It is on EBAY and is listed as item number 160319353180. I think it may be a Force series which is likely to be a 2005 model, given the seller states it is all maple, but I am uncertain. Seller has not responded to my questions and Sonor website no help other than identifying lugs. The finish appears quite unique also. Cheers.

The pictures are not very good. It is difficult to be absolutely sure but it looks like a Force 3007 with a 30004 Sparkle Blue finish to me.

I would stay after him for more info, or even go take a look at it if you are close enough to do so.

Cheers for that. Any general views of that particular model kit?

Re: need help identifying sonor kit

Well it is the top end entry level Sonor kit. They are 9 ply all maple drums (a mix of Chinese and Canadian maple) so they will have a warm deeper tone to them.

This is a well built and good sounding kit that can be gotten without having to spend tons of cash. My opinion...great value for the money. It is definately worth taking a look at.

Here is a better picture of the Sonor Force 3007 in the Blue Sparkle finish:

Re: need help identifying sonor kit

Thanks matey. I have since seen the kit. As it turns out, it has actually been custom "painted" at an auto painters and quite simply, looks amazing. It reminds me of astronomical images of deep space with distant galaxies throughout! The paint job cost AUD$1,200 twelve months ago. If I win the bidding, I will put up some better photos. i also saw photos of the kit pre paint job and it was an almost khaki colour which I have seen in older catalogues (2000 etc).

Hmm... if that is a custom paint job and not the factory finish then it could be any of the Force line.

Re: need help identifying sonor kit

Yes. Good point. Seller states that all maple shells, yet purchased kit in 2001. my understanding is that Force series kits released in the year 2001 were a maple / basswood / maple mix? Your view? Nevertheless, I must say, the kit sounds mighty and will in my view sound better with clear emperors across all toms.

I'm a beer and bourbon man myself. But this is probably meant for somewhere other than "Drum Talk".
