At what age did u start?

I was wondering if at my age i started a bit late(playing the drums), but i know im being too dramatic and u can start at any age.
anyways, i was wondering at what age many of u guys started playing the drums!

I started drumming at christmas when I was 10. My dad wanted me to get a drum set so i got one.

I stared drumming and continued ever since!

Dude, your dad rules! I started when I was 14. Much to the annoyance of my parents. My Dad would've preferred I played football.

my dad doesnt even like the idea of me getting the drums! -.-
do u guys think the acoustic drums r REALLY loud that ppl in ur family tell u to shut up every 5 minutes?

I'm one of the lucky ones. My parents surprised me with drums for Christmas when I was 9. I didn't even ask for them or really know I wanted them. But my dad noticed that I drummed on the back of the car seat everytime I was in the car, so he figured I had the drumming bug.

Man was he right! I am forever grateful for that kickass support. And my mom drove me to lessons for years. And they let me practice too. We always had big enough houses (5 kids -- 5 rooms) so I could play without disturbing them too much. I just had to pad the drums a bit and put tape on the cymbals. My favourite time was when we lived on a farm property, so I could play outside in the summer with wide open drums and no muffling.

I started like year 8, I originally wanted to do guitar but the lessons were full so I did drums, BOY I WAS LUCKY.

yeah i started out w. a guitar, but i found it to b to hard.. and i didnt rlly like it, but my brother ended up w. the guitar, and now i got a drum set ^^

I started when I was 9. . .
I don't know why - I just said to my parents "I wanna play drums", so I got lessons at my old school. Turned out to be a good decision.
