Re: Where should I play?? In the early days of my drumming, I started in the basement, Garages, then Colleges, Band Shells in the parks, Studios, Attics, Phrap houses in colleges . Finally after getting married, the top floor apartment where I built a stage for my son. And that's where we play now.
But always kept the drums in dry and keeping them in drum cases, not just throwing them into a car or van to prevent damages and scratches. I like to keep my kit in good shape. And never trusted someone else to handle them.
Letting some else play them Yes, but always inspecting them after. Making sure that all the hardware was tight.
What I'm trying to say here is that you can play your drums anywhere when needed, but at the same time monitor and upkeep them afterwords.
Ambiance is an important factor whether for playing or storing your kit is important. If you have played them in a humid area, make sure that the kit is dry before storing them. |
