The Titanium series are more of a beginner/intermediate line from Zildjian, so if you are sort of a beginner, they should do fine for a while. The Mapex Pro M drums are great at that level as well, and are probably the best value for the money--they should also last a while as you progress up.

I would say that the whole kit should fit you nicely for a while, and that eventually you may want to upgrade the cymbals for a better sound. The Pro M drums should last you longer with good tuning and maybe some new heads (skins) to get the sound you want--but otherwise should serve you for years to come....

ALSO--the Pro M series will be (or has been) cancelled, so you may be able to work the dealer a bit on the price, as they are no longer produced--the line has been replaced with something else and the dealer will want the NEW line of drums on his floor and will need the room...

Re: can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me on getting a new drum kit

James, just like slingerland , I would like to understand what drum levels are. Just like here in the U.S.A., we use the standard measuring system by inches, foot and yards for example, while in the UK the metric system is used.

So can you enlighten us as to what a drum level is and how many there are?

Here there are , beginners, moderate and professional levels.

I've worked with Englishmen and some others. And when we spoke of meters, I had to use a conversion table. That was after he told me that us yanks screwed up the English language.

My response was, Sounds like Cockney to me. Boulder dash to that or is it Poppycock.

Here's a funny, I went to Pratt Institute. When I told that to my Boss from England, he laugh his as off. Later I went to my hair cutter who was also from England, she told me what a spoiled pratt is.

Here in the states, we call it a brat. So I guess I went to a brat institute to learn Stationary Engineering, Electrical.

I hope you got a funny out of this, but seriously, please educate me on the drum level thing.
