You all can check out our current page at reverbnation.com; just search for The Gentleman and a Scholar. As far as what type of music we play, it is labeled as 'indie rock...?' I mean come on, what does 'indie rock' even mean!? Let's just say we like to play music and we play some sort of rock music at that

There is a track on the site though that you can listen to. *DISCLAIMER*: It is a rough recording we did about 6 months ago in my basement with some rough equipment. There are no lyrics to it because it was done as a demo for someone who was thinking about being our singer. But hopefully it gives you a slight feel as to what 'kind' of music we play. Anywho, knowing that, feel free to listen and become fans! Like I said earlier, we should have five tracks done by the end of the summer (lyrics and all). Oh and if any of you are wondering, that person we made the demo for did become our singer for like a month... but they were flakey and we fired them

haha "indie" is just short for "Independent". it means you are an indepenent genre of rock if you are "indie rock". indie doesnt fall into the category of any other kind of genre, and no indie band is the same as another indie band... that is if they are truly "indie".

First off thanks butter for the listen! And apparently I made myself sound like a complete moron with the whole 'what does indie mean anyway' comment. Of course I know what it stands for but I think it is funny that there is a name for a genre that is in fact not really a genre at all. What will we think of next!?

It's easy to be in a band! You just find some homeless dude named Walter who can play the guitar and then see if he knows some kind of bass player and then voila! You have a band! Of course, if you're not into the traditional 'rock' band, you can always find an accordion player with a tambourine

The only problem is, Walter will probably want to live with you after....

i believe that newborn, and most of the stuff inferno said is pretty good, me and my friends formed a band once, and then next week it fell apart, but, we had a good name I think, it was SinSear.

Same thing happened with my band.

It fell apart in a few seconds.

I got "Sandbox" When I was in a car and there was a "Puddle of Mud" song on.
Then for a metal band, I thought of sandbox.
Brainstorming is the best way to go!
