im in a metal band we mostly do covers but we have our own stuff and we dont have a name yet any suggestions ?
we were gunna call ourselfs war machine but there is already a big band called that.

my first band went through about 10 names and the one we have now im not satisfied with. its Heart of the Beast. lol i think its trying too hard to be cool. anyway we had about 9 names before that, alot of which i liked but they were taken, so i know what youre talking about.
but my other, less seriously named band is called Delicious Tea. its a play off of Tenacious D. haha.

what bands do you do covers of? and what songs?

Cool hehe. I have a band in a similar situation to yours, 3 piece indie rock band. We're pretty new and can't think of a name at all, but have written our first song, writing second, just getting started hehe. My first ever band =] awesome

You know.. you gotta take the whole naming thing less seriously. Here's some suggestions, just off the top of my head...

80 layer cake
wicked pickle
cocky chili dancers
big stick, bad hair
floating somethings
hat rack attack
sinking ship
ohm's raw
sniff a midget

Have fun with it man! Just start throwing words together and eventually you'll end up with a few names that are off the wall, cool, and recognizable.

Past bands I've been in:
- Just Cause
- Silent Madness
- Bonafide
- Bleeding Me

After all that, My buddy and I (from Silent Madness) started our own stuff. It took us about 4 years to come up with a name, which is "Purple i".

excuse the songs...it was our first attempt at writing and recording all our own material. Worked with a DJ from Germany for vocals. I've also got my own myspace page, with random techo/electro I jam to (mostly stuff i put together and record in a day).
