was off of work this week (vacation) and spend majority of the time recording with my new mics and mixer. i completed 6 songs, my first solo EP attempt.

it is my first attempt...i already started writing for a full length album (also had stuff left over), im really excited!

Having been away from drums for almost 6 years and coming back is probably the greatest feeling ever. It was a huge thing that was missing from my life for a long time, and im just happy its back....to stay this time.

What about "Dance music"? there is a local band that might use a drummer.

ya, but majority of drummers (i've seen) that perform live for dance/electro acts are limited to the song/style of the artist. in my case, i've based my compositions primarily off the drums themselves.

It does sound good, I think Gus was just messing with you.

I liked the feel. The drum sound is different for electro as samples are usually a lot cleaner. I like the room sound sound you've got going.

thanks for the feedback guys, i really appreciate it...especially coming from fellow drummers.

skin, yes...thats exactly what i'm going for. With this EP i attempted to create the fine line between electronic(looped) and real/raw drums. It was more a challenge for myself to test my drum recording/mixing skills.
