A mighty battle has emerged in my quest for a new drum set.

First off, we have...
-Tama Imperial Star 5 piece standard black drum set with hardware,
-Includes Meinl HCS cymbals (Ride, Crash, and 12'' china)
-Custom fit to be a 7-piece
-hardware is double braced
-I will (hopefully) sell the cymbals and use that money to buy Sabian Xs20's

-Taye double pedal
-For $945


And Finally...
-Gretsch Catalina Ash 6-piece shell pack (black)
-Added 15x13 inch floor tom
-Taye double pedal
-Sabian cymbals xs20's
-Sound Percussion 5-piece hardware pack (double Braced)
-My price=$774
-Total price=$1300

Which do you think should take the title as "My Set?"

Gretsch all the way. And you know why I prefer the Gretsch line over the Tama line. I'm not knocking down the Tama, it's a matter of choice to my likes.

Yeah.
I love the Gretsch now.
When I buy it, there is an optional extra 14x14 floor tom I can get
it with.
for I think around $250. Pretty good price I think.
Awesome drum set.

Don't laugh too hard now. Some grow taller and some grow wider after a certain age. So enjoy the younger years while you can. Also some grow bald, some younger and some older.

hey don't know if it's too late to post this but don't waste your money on the taye pedal i used one and personally didn't like it... try it out if you like it get it but i think there're better deals out there!!!
