Double Stroke Rolls with one hand

I recently was watching a Jojo Mayer vid on youtube and saw that he was rolling with one hand, i knew it could be done before, but it totally slipped my mind, so i decided to learn it, some guy said it took him 5 years, it only took me an hour too master it, it would work great for a marching band. Anyways has anyone else really i mean really learned to master this.

Mastered in one hour what it took Jojo 5 years to do?

There are many ways to do the one handed roll - The Pivot or foulcrum roll is the easiest and most common. Jojo uses Moeller motion to perpetuate his one handed rolls, in a similar manner to how Buddy Rich did it in his time.

Oh god no not JoJo, some guy on youtube who was showing the vid. ya know? I would only hope to be as amazing as JoJo. But no i found out i was using Johnny Rabb's technique.

man do i wish i had the computer im using now a couple months ago when i was learning this! thankfully this one doesnt hate youtube, so i was able to watch the video above.

i can do it now, but it took me a few weeks to learn due to the fact that the computer i was using wouldnt load any of the videos telling me how to do it, other than the one that is done by a swedish guy, who only speaks SWEDISH! lol so it took me a while, not having anything to go off of other than visual, but ive mastered it now

i couldnt watch the whole video... the music behind the drumming was too annoying

Yeah I know - I only listened to it for the drums. But at about 5 minutes the music stops and it just drums. Thats the awesome part - he does some really innovative stuff with splashes and stuff.
