Re: Whos your favourite drummer? joey jordison is the drummer for slipknot. in my opinion he is the second most overrated drummer there is today, right after travis barker. joey is actually good, but alot of people almost worship him, you know how that goes, everything to them is joey jordison, they only listen to his stuff, dont care about anyone else.
hes a talented guy, but i dont find him incredibly interesting. hes just not all that creative.
heres a video, just something i grabbed off of youtube. its him soloing, not the rest of slipknot. i think they became famous in 2001, but theyve been around since 1995. |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? Oh, one of those 2,000bpm sort of guys.
Yeah I've heard of Slipknot. Never really paid them much mind.
Another drummer that lots of kids admire is Niel Pert. They've got him plastered all over the forum. Should you care to do some research on older posts.
Back in the days I admired Mitch Mitchell as opposed to other drummers from my era who's pref was Ginger Baker.
Times have changed allot bro.
Keep on drumming. |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? ya niel is one of my more liked drummers. theres alot of younger drummers that only idolize the fastest drummers, like joey jordison, and just forget the truly talented like bonham and the rest gazzo mentioned. i like some of the newer drummers, but alot of my favorites are in the older generations. |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? I don't think I really have a favorite, but more so people that play the styles I like.
Chad Smith, Mitch Mitchell, Carl Palmer, John Bonham, Lars Ulrich, Shannon Larkin, and probably a lot more I can't think of. |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? my personal favorite is Mitch Mitchell, he's really underrated and was a pioneer for fusion drumming, another favorite of mine is John Bonham mostly because of his triplets, foot speed, and his power
if i only had half there talents *sigh* |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? Gavin Harrison.......wow, very talented. I hear hints of Neil Peart and John Bonham influence in there. Great stuff. |

Re: Whos your favourite drummer? This guy is soo well rounded.. a true artist, and a gentleman.. unlikened to the Joey Jordison types..
Here's another sample of Gavin doing some jazzier stuff along with some real valuable philosophy! Enjoy! browse YouTube and
See if you don't agree that Gavin is perhaps one of the most musical and well rounded drummers out there today!
