Buddy Rich of course. Seen him live back in '78; phenomenal and simply the best there was or ever will be technically

Louie Bellson, rates just behind Buddy but up there with him.

Joo Morello, amazing left hand.

Steve Gadd, groove master supreme.

These are my top four but the list could go on. Current dummers include Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Coliauta and not forgetting the greats of jazz drumming e.g. Max Roach, Art Blakey etc and of course, the man who put the drums on the map: Gene Krupa. I'll check out the video on Mike Mangini; have heard him play and he sounds incredible
