I can't believe no one has mentioned Tim Alexander of Primus! He is truly one of a kind... My other favorites are Danny Carey, Carter Beauford, Jimmy Chamberlain, Dave Grohl, and many many others........ |

Far and away, my favorite is Danny Carey. Energy, power, precision, and all that good stuff.
Second would be Aaron Harris from Isis. |

I recently went to a concert of TOTO here in Auckland and I was absolutely spellbound by the performance of Simon Phillips, just stunning!!
My other heroes, Steve Gadd, Bill Bruford, Max Roach.
