Using Evans EC2 batter heads for the first time...

...on my mid tom and floor tom. Have this nasty ring coming from the resonant heads on both toms when hitting them and am not sure of what would be the best way to eliminate this ringing. Tried gels and they aren't enough...

Try double coated heads for resonator heads if you still use the ones that came with your kit. Also resonator rings may help instead of Gel type.

I use rings, no more problems.

Go for the cheapest way first. Also click below, this is a common problem.

what resonante head works best with batter heads

I've got a Mapex kit, 12" and 14" for the tom and floor tom. I'll probably try the resonator rings. Thanks

Try G2, that at least might make it deeper... A friend of mine used remo pinstripe ebony over remo pinstripe coated (and E rings) until he tried the Ec2s.
