I took a drum lesson, *breaths normally*.

I knew the teacher, I like the kind of music he plays, and I had done similar beats, so those made it easier.
I learned I have more complicated beats under my belt then what I learned last night (so that helped my self confidence when playing in front of the teacher).
What I learned:
-Boom Tap ( the second word doesn't sound right, sheet music it looks like the Hammer Blast, with the bass played before the hi-hats)
-Two step
- Shank and or slayer beat
- Single pedal
- single pedal break downs

Also (not on topic) I bought a drum Dial, Ec2 Tom batter heads, Moon gels, and a pair of Axis longboard double pedals (for $320, it was that or new ICs).

Mine, yours and a few friends of mine around town, My teacher didn't say any thing bad about my snare sound! I tune it on 90 Batter (HD dry) 65 reso (Basic Remo) Tight snares (12 strand)

I also learned i can play open handed batter in slower situations.
