Question Time for a change?

How often do yall' change your kit around?

I was practicing two days ago when I realiced that it was time for a change. You see, I've suffered from "writers block" for the past couple of weeks; Just having issues with coming up with new material. So I became...Obsessed. I spent hours last night changing my kit around. (Driving my wife nuts in the process) I mostly moved my toms higher, and switched my 14" tom with my ride so all three toms are next to each other. Bla Bla Bla....

Well needless to say the inspration has started to come fourth once more. It got me to wondeing how often you change your kits around. I had mine the same way for over two years before I did anything different.

Re: Time for a change?

I rearranged my cymbals in a david silvera fashion recently, crashes wide apart, 18" china high and left of center. Didn't work right but I did leave the crashes apart.

I'm considering some changes with the next set. I posted a thread in setups about it.

Cool Re: Time for a change?

I've recently lost my groove, and I some times switch between a 3 tom 2 floor setup, to a 1 tom 2 floor setup, I also move my cymbals around alot, my ride and china stay the same, but my hi hats and crashes move alot

btw i still havent found my groove
