In a terribly huge debate! Ok, my mom is getting some money in 2 weeks, and she has promised me something. I have a Ddrum 6-piece Dominion Duo-Fade kit already, Paiste PST 5 cymbals, Sabian crash. So I'm pretty set. My debate is over what I should get. Should I get a Zildjian K Custom crash, pearl demon-drive double pedals, a rack system or a 37" HDTV, I currently have a ****ty old like 28" Box TV in my room and I would really like to upgrade my TV, but at the same time I play the drums everyday and I would really like to add to my kit. Just tell me what you would do in my situation, It's frustrating! Oh, and christmas is coming soon too. =] |

Re: In a terribly huge debate! wait, do you mean k custom, demon drive, and a rack vs a tv? if so, get that! holy crap, if i ahd that choice i'd get that dude... a rack is really helpful, and cleans up mess - also leaves every thing where it is, also a demon drive is a beast, it is smooth and nice, and a k custom crash... well all k customs to me sound amazing (except for high definition hi hats)
dude if your serious about drumming get that because it good |

Re: In a terribly huge debate! Hmm, tough call. Demon Drive or Rack System........oh were there other choices there?
I would go for the Demon Drive double pedal personally. I figure the K Custom and the Rack are about half the cost of pedal so I could save a little here and there and buy them later. The HDTV, well there is no time left after practicing and jamming with the band to watch TV, so who needs a TV? |

Re: In a terribly huge debate! What size HD TV? Is it Plasma?
If you really need to up grade your kit, and not satisfied with the current sound, then go for the drumming gear.
But if your OK with the kit, as I said,
What size HD TV? Is it Plasma? |

I really like them a whole lot and have got compliments from other drummers that have tested them. I have packed them up roughly around 30 times now and have had no troubles. There are different settings you can put the pedal on from ninja to power settings. I have tried both and the ninja setting is just to smooth so I went back to power and love it.
I did not care for the factory setting but like i said you can adjust it to your liking. The pedal will also convert to 2 separate pedals with ease. The pedal has a good warranty and they are built very tough and come with a nice case. Good luck on your decision. Who needs a TV |

Now it's just, Demon Drive vs 37" LCD HDTV. haha. Well I'm still putting a lot of thought into it, it's not that I don't like the sound that my kit gives off, I love it. I just can't decide whether or not I want to add some stuff to my drum kit or buy a new tv. It's an HDTV 37" LCD. The cost isn't really an issue, I could get whatever I like. I think I'd be able to wait a little to upgrade to a rack system though. Right now I have all the room in the world. The only big consideration in my head is the Demon Drive or HDTV. Thank you all so much. Let me know what you think! |

Re: In a terribly huge debate! I kind of hate to say it, but I'd go for the tv. I love buying drums. I just can't get that excited about pedals and hardware. I mean, it sounds like you've got a great kit already. Upgrades can wait. Buy something new. Fill that void. Amass more material things. |

Re: In a terribly huge debate! I've a 50" Plasma and don't regret it since I got an Hd HDD Video camera recently, I can connect directly into the TV via HDMI. USB to the computer and S-video or Composite connections. So it's very versitile.
You'll probably want to get one later. The technology is moveing too fast these days and there are some good bargains on all electronis appliances.
The stores need to make room for the new stuff and even the 2008 models are not much different from the 2009 models. That's how I got 1/2 off the camera. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
