I used to play tama a while ago. I'm pretty sure any of would be able to help. What are you planning to add to your monster.

I would say a 14", I'm assuming you have 10 and 12 inch toms? 18" would probably sound very close to the bass drum. My 16" is actually not too far off from how deep my bass drum is

Re: Looking for any Tama drummers!!

i play tama rockstar and imperialstar kits and love the way they sound especially for the price i mean there are better but tama are really well made and i love the deep fat kick drum sound they have compared to some other kits...but anyway as far as picking add ons i would go with the 14" cuz i feel it would be more versitile than the 18" especially if you already have a 16" and if you're looking for hardware IMO tama is some of the best you'd be hard pressed to find better...plus they make one of the best kick pedals Iron cobras... but everyone has there opion!!!

Re: Looking for any Tama drummers!!

You should also check out DW double bass pedals. Once you swap out the beaters on them for lighters ones they go lightning fast and smooth

Re: Looking for any Tama drummers!!

Just make sure to try out whatever you get before you buy. Also when you try out some DW pedals keep in mind that they will go even faster once you get lighter beaters on them because the DW stock beaters are pretty heavy for some reason
