Where do you keep your kit?

So..

A question thats been on my mind for a while is:
Do you keep your kit in your house, shed or back-yard?

I don't know!

TELL ME

-I keep my kit in a shed

Re: Where do you keep your kit?

i move mine around to a different spot for each day of the week. on sunday, my kit is in the back of my truck. on monday, its on the trampoline. tuesday, on the roof. wednesday, the bathroom. thursday, the attic. friday, the ceiling (i have no clue how i do this). as for saturday, my drumset chooses for me

really i keep mine in a room in my basement. all my bandmates stuff is in there, too. amps and that kind of thing. i like the placement, but it kinda bothers me sometimes the sound i get because theres a brick wall on one side of me.

I have a huge Gretsch kit so I try to keep it in the same spot in the third floor.

When I need to store it, I place the kit in SKB cases. The cymbals in cymbal bags.

only thing I would watch out for in a shed or garage is the moisture. It might be a good idea to throw a sheet over them when you're not playing. I keep my kit in my bedroom, plenty of room =]

Re: Where do you keep your kit?

I keep my Mapex Saturn kit upstairs and my practice Tama kit in a storage facility with all other band member's equipment. When i move the Saturn kit i am very careful and have thick padded bags for future gigging. I am getting hard shells in 2 weeks plus another drum to add to my Saturn kit. When i show up for practice all i bring now is cymbals which is so much better than moving a drum kit every practice session each week. Moving my Mapex set is like moving in and out of an apartment i am glad those days are over

Mines in a room in my basement too (butter).
It takes up most of the space though.

my 8 piece ludwig is at our guitarists house for the winter, comes to my garage when it's hot

my 4 piece westbury (bleh) is at my house currently, and goes to our guitarists house when it's warm

we play in my garage in warm weather, and vice versa
