Re: drum rolls and rudiments

If you want to cut right through to the Rudiments that I believe do the most at building speed try these Single Strokes Double Strokes If you can't get that bounce going for the Double Strokes go to Youtube and look into Jim Chapin on the Moeller System Jim Chapin Passed a few months ago but I think his Video's are still on youtube after you do those 2 Rudiments then
Do Single, Double and Triple Paradidles. Paradiddles will help you build speed fast. Let me know what you think SLINGERLAND

Re: drum rolls and rudiments

of course im doing it on a practice pad. i cant really be stuffed learning the moeller technique to tell u the truth [thanks anyway]. im more into practising rudiments not technique, everyone has there own technique so it doesnt really bother me. so i would appreciate if u guys gave me some URLs to more rudiments.

The 40 Essential Rudiments site that cooldrummer95 suggested earlier is a URL and takes you to an excellent, large website.

Here are some lessons on YOUTUBE: YouTube - drum lessons for beginners

And there's DRUM CHANNEL: Online Drum Lessons, Free Drum Lessons

Hope this helps.

There are 40 essential rudiments but there are 20 basic ones.

Seems like you need to work on the wrist techniques and holding the sticks right.

Jacob Kaye has a good lesson on this.
