What do you think of this kit

The kit was placed so that the members could she the complete setup with out clutter in the photos.
It's allot tighter now than before. I would have to be double jointed in the brain to play a set up like that.

I had to replace the res heads on the basses again with the stock skins.

Guitar Center messed up my order at the store with Musiciansfriend.com

They sent me a set of batter heads instead of the res heads. I should have gone to visit my friends at Sam Ash. But to avoid the drive, I got the boot.

Now I have a spare set of Remo Pnstripes.

I was thinking about returning them. But hey, you never know when you need then.

At times I'll play the Chinas up and at times down. Just like with the batter heads, I'll experiment at times. Only this time I didn't like the sound of the heads on the res side.
Funny thing is that the Gretsch stock head sounded better than I thought it would. Those are Permatone heads. They're really good skins.

Bottom line is that if you don't play with your kit, you'll never know what your gonna miss out on.

When i was a kid, i got an idea of building my own drum. And till date, i'm building my drums and playing them. its fun!

Thats a sick set. You should get a double bass pedal. Looks like you got some money so I would recommend a cobra doublebass pedal.

If I had your money, I could burn mine.

I have a double pedal, DW 9002. I guess you didn't read the list or see it in the pics. The double is for my sons taste. I prefer two pedals for two different sounding basses.

To answer your question, you'll just have to see for yourself. It's hard to describe and the kit was setup that way for the pics, not for playing.

I know I have long arms for my height, but their not that long like a gorilla's.

I wanted to get some vids on the forum before autumn but shiest happens.
I want to get these vids with the sound right, before I post them.

Like my friend on the other side of the pond tells me, "No more excuses".
