Re: Drum set questions..

I do have some suggestions, but make sure you hear them before you buy them because my ears are different than yours.

I actually loved the AAX 8" and 10" splashes so I bought them. Then while I was waiting for them to come in I tried some Paiste Signature splashes the same size and before the Sabains came in I had already traded them in on the Paistes. The drawback is the Paistes are expensive.

Re: Drum set questions..

Ouch, looking on eBay at them right now. I think that buying one of the signature models would put a dent in my already totaled wallet. I would like to pick up a used one, IF I could find one for a decent price.

When I was looking at the Paiste website before I was looking at the 2002 and Rude series.

Re: Drum set questions..

Sorry about replying to my own topic...but like you mentioned before, it would be good if I had another crash.. I've searched around and haven't found an answer since it's more of an individual thing. I'm wondering if the AAXplosion 14" crash would go or I guess 'fit in/sound right' with a Sabian AAX Dark Crash 18". Sorry about all the questions, hopefully this will be one of the last ones haha.

Thanks in advance!

Thumbs up Re: Drum set questions..

Hmm, well alright. Just got the 14" AAXplosion crash in today and I like it a lot. I'd like to also get a few others, maybe with a darker sound. Hi hats and ride should come in tomorrow or a few days..

Spend a little more than I had originally planned on this whole set so far... ^$1,000 (I also order a Roc n Soc) seems to be worth it though.

Wanted to say thanks for all the input from you guys, now I know where to go if I need to learn something.

Thanks!
