I know this is a month late, but you did get this kit?
The
Pearl Corporation is great. One of the biggest in the world. The nice thing is the availability of parts (they created alot of the 'standards', so lots of other companies follow their lead), so even though these drums are entry level, as parts break, you will be able to get replacements.
Any drumset, if well taken care of, will last for years. The only thing I would hope you would have done was budget for a completely new set of heads - it's amazing how great a drumset sounds with proper heads on them. My base set of heads is always
Remo Ambassdors on snare and toms and a
Remo Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum, drums always sound good with those. I hope you made the investment!
