Back pain - someone please help me Hello everyone,
I never played drums in my life but it's my favourite instrument and I have little idea about how it's played. 3 weeks back I bought myself an electronic drum kit, since I didn't have a throne I sat on a chair and started hitting pads, bass, hi hat. After couple of hours I managed play a simple rock beat, I couldn't believe myself. The issue is, the very next day I started getting little pain in my lower back, after few days it became worse. I went thru net and found out that maintaining inproper posture leads to sever back and spine injuries. I didn't want to give up, I bought a throne and continued playing with proper sitting posture but now I have the lower back pain whole day, it's terrible. Can someone help me PLEASE?

Re: vsemi ljubimyj seks chat Okay. Well this happens, it doesn't mean you will have spinal cord issues etc... it just means your back is getting use to the position. It is just like any kind of sport, if you go for a run for your first time in a while your legs/butt etc... will be sore right? So that just means you are getting adjusted to this new position. because unless you like to sit at a bar stool and flail your arms and feet for no reason;than your back has never experienced this type of movement. So give it time and it will adjust to it's new position. |

Re: vsemi ljubimyj seks chat Of course, a doctor needs to treat your medical problems. But I have had back problems, and most minor ones resolve in six weeks, regardless of what you do.
I think you need to know how to keep your back in a supported position regardless of whether you're walking, driving, sitting on a drum throne, relaxing on the couch, etc. You can hold your back in the correct position during any activity. The proven book Treat Your Own Back by Robin McKenzie will tell you how to keep your back in proper position and give you exercises to alleviate the pain. It costs around $10 at Amazon.
When I hurt my back badly on an island in Lake Superior, this book saw me through a summer of healing and got me on my feet again. It worked big time for me, and I learned a lot more about my back in the process. Check it out. |

Re: vsemi ljubimyj seks chat Fox and dtx summed this up well but I wanted to toss this in. When it comes to drum thrones do not skimp! Playing a drum set for any length of time is going to tire your back muscles, particularly at first so it is important to get the best possible throne available.
Which throne did you end up getting? |

Re: vsemi ljubimyj seks chat If I were you, I would do exercises called "superman", which work your lower and middle back and give you better posture.
Just lay out on your stomach and raise your legs and arms off the floor simultaneously. Either try to stay in that position for one minute or alternate your left leg/right arm with your right leg/left arm for 30 reps.
Also, work your abdominal area; this will keep your back erect. |

Re: Back pain - someone please help me That not what I meant Bad Boys. I meant get one that you put directly on your back. (not drum related) just helps keep your back straight | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
