Oh the memories...

Now that I've got a good space for my drums to be set up, it's time to go through my crate full of old method books and articles. There's some real classics in there, check it out:

Syncopation by Ted Reed
Rolls, Rolls, Rolls
The New Breed by Gary Chester
Drum Styles and Independence Techniques by Gordy Knudtson
Future Sounds by David Garibaldi
Realistic Rock by Carmine Appice
All American Drummer, 150 Rudimental Solos by Charlie Wilcoxon
Around the Drums with Triplets by Paul Capozzoli
Accent on Accents by Fine & Dahlgren
Rockin Bass Drum by John Lombardo
Jazz for Drum Set by Sandy Feldstein

These sure bring back some great memories, it will be fun going through them to get my chops and coordination back again. What's scary though is the dates scribbled across the top pages by my old teaches, all from the late 80's early 90's.

What's so scary about that? I was taught in the 60's with books that were old then, yet I'm sensational!

I can't remember half the things that happened in the sixties.

It was more of a flash, in the past. So many changes and lots of drum competitions going on back then.

But I got a whole lotta LP's. Them I remember.

Those were the days when drummers were drummers. They got more recognition than today.

Buddy,
You're giving me grief about my age after all the money I spent on that blimp? As Venom would say, "Sheeesh!"
