Re: New Account So how did you go about getting sponsored? And what did that mean? Did they (your old company) give you whatever you needed or did you buy sticks at cost?
I always wondered how that worked. |

Re: New Account Well, I just applied for a sponsorship, Companies have applications on their websites, if they don't usually you can email them about it. A lot of companies look for endorsers. And yeah I got sticks for free, but they just treated me like sh!t. I would ask them a question or ask them for more sticks or a shirt or something like that. and you they either wouldn't send them or send them a month or even 3 months late. And I would have to go to the store anyways to buy sticks. So there was no point. |

Re: New Account Well, yeah, they work with anything really. They just have to hear you drum, via email or mail. You know like a press kit? or past work you have done, you can't just get up and say I wanna be sponsored by you! and it happens, it is kind of a process you know? |

Re: New Account Wow, that sucks.
It's funny, when I was younger, eagerly working and trying to get noticed, I wished I had some kind of sponsorship just to maintain the instrument. And then when I started working enough, I just bought everything I needed. Still not famous, just working, like alot of other people. I think after your experience, I'm happy I didn't have to go through that. |
