Whats your favorite stick size?

Either 8D or 5A.

Sticks like 5BN have lots of weight creating a solid and loud contact on the snare and toms, A loud/penatrating ping on rides and loud/full crashes on the cymbals but are a little clumsy and slow.
Sticks like 5AN give a nice musical ping sound on rides and a sweet almost splashy sound on crashes. They lack heft for deep snare and tom sound but are much quicker and smoother to use.
I lean towards 5AN because I like the ease of play. They make me a more dynamic drummer, but ill use both depending on the genre or the song.

Pro-Mark 5A nylon tip is my favorite for sure. However i was in a band for a while and they focused pretty heavy music so i used some Vic Firth 5B sticks because i found that the little bit of extra weight to the stick gave me alot more power to play that type of music.

I buy a cheap brick of 5A's for practice
But before a gig I always buy two pairs of crisp clean Vater 1A's

Well, it depends;

I like Vic Firth 2B's and 7A's for normal playing(I switch them off depending on if I'm playing rock/metal or jazz/funk/pop).

Sometimes I just like to switch it up and use rutes and brushes...the dreadlock brushes from Vic Firth are awesome.

Years ago I used to use Premier cc nylon tiped but since I came back to drumming four years ago after a twenty year break I couldn't find any,so now I use Vick Firth 5an which seem a smidge lighter but generaly cover all basses.
