Some Youtube Vids I know this is kinda advertising, but ah well...
I made some videos on some techniques. I'd like it if you people checked it out and told me what you think and perhaps commented on the videos themselves.
1. Gravity Blast Triplets
2. Heel-Toe Technique
3. Flying Fingers/Lever Technique
So, yeah, tell me what you think. Feel free to ask questions about stick choice, the snare drum, drum heads, anything! |

Re: Some Youtube Vids sounds good man, i get alot of people interested in gravity blasts and heel toe in my particular genre. looks like youve got a great start on it and a solid handle. never got into the gravity blasts or heel toe myself, theres so many techniques out there seems like drummers these days (who just want to play fast) kind of look for a quick fix and heel toe is the most common, whats nice about your video is it shows a little more application with it, whereas, incorporation instead of a means to an end if that makes sense.
well done brew looking forward to more posts and videos

-mikey | Thanks dude. I was completely self taught i only really had youtube for help and stuff so i just picked up things as i go along. I try to use moeller and other correct techniques as well. And i can go pretty fast with heel toe, its just that sometime the musicality of it all is lost. I mean i do like death metal and that, but there is a limit.
However, like i said in the video, gravity blasts can be used as a quick roll in any kind of music haha!
I would rather be able to groove, than just to play fast. |

Re: Some Youtube Vids well put, always live by your own style and not how fast you can be you are absolutely correct. one could focus their entire lives on speed but when will we here about it? better yet when will we care? haha but yea man its really good, your technique is fantastic, better than some of those who have had training in it, believe me.
