A lot of the time I'll use Vater 5A sticks, but for jazz or lighter playing, I've still got a bunch of Johnny Rabb sticks (especially some 7As) that are still the best I've found.

Hopefully, one day, Johnny will be able to bring the company back from extinction. Hopefully.

i used to use Vater 7A manhattan. They're good all rounded sticks. but if you're looking for punch. the Vater pro rock sticks. Pure balanced power.
but right now i'm just using a few pairs of budget sticks that i got. the Lazer 7A hickorys. Try them out if you can find them. They are not really heavy, and they come in 7/6/5A so yeah. they are good. did i mention that they are white?? TRAVIS BARKER WHITE! now all you need are the tattoos. haha

Vater Bottle Rockets!!! Really nice balance and feel and ..... WOW can you get them to bounce by using the front lip of the grip to really put some extra pressure on the tip when rolling!! I used to use any cheap 5A but recently was given a set of the bottle rockets to try, and I like them.

I am one wierd person.

I recently got some el cheapo Shaw 5As and some Vic Firth 5As (both hickory) but the vic firth ones are lighter. The Shaw sticks feel more solid and a little thicker. Point is, it feels wierd to use both one set or the other; so I use a lighter Vic Firth stick in my left hand and a Shaw stick in the right hand. Don't know how, but it feels more balenced to me...
