Double Bass Help

Hey whats up. I want to play a double bass but they are too expensive. I just bought a nice used pearl single pedal for 50 bucks and I was wondering if it would be ok to just have two single pedals on one drum because i cant afford a double bass pedal and I have two single pedals now. Thanks please help

Re: Double Bass Help

I have thought about this too, I think that there would not be enough room on the bass drum to give your legs enough separation to play properly.

Re: Double Bass Help

n you couldnt use your hihat pedal, right? unless your bass drums like super wide. i would just buy a rilly cheap double pedal used. (you can get a used one for under 100 bux.

I agree, look around on ebay, there's always loads of guys selling cheap double pedals.

Two pedals on one kick, you're just gonna wreck you're hoop and trip over your snare.

I can't stress enough what skinslapper just said. You will KILL your hoop this way.
Then you would be spending more money replacing the hoop, the drum head, and possibly even the drum itself if it gets bad enough.

+1 more to skinslapper. don't use 2 pedals on one drum...2 single pedals.
